Delegate in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Radovan Kovačević, stated that Serbia and Republika Srpska have never been more united and that their cooperation has never been better, which will be confirmed at the grand All-Serb Assembly on June 8. However, he also pointed out the difficult position of the Serb people in the region.

Kovačević explained that, regarding the upcoming assembly, the primary focus is on further concretizing the cooperation between Republika Srpska and Serbia, ensuring complete support from Serbia towards Republika Srpska in its efforts to defend its position and protect the Serb people in Republika Srpska.

He emphasized that the difficult position of the Serbian people throughout the region must not be forgotten.

Kovačević noted the developments in Montenegro and the formation of a new government in Croatia, which includes, as he described, a pro-Ustasha party.

“When we say pro-Ustasha, it equates to pro-fascist, with only one condition for supporting Andrej Plenković: that Serbs are not allowed in the government or as part of the majority,” Kovačević told ATV.

He highlighted that this is the current position of Serbs throughout the region, stressing that the Serbian people in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina are completely deprived of their rights.

Kovačević pointed out that the Serb people are by far the greatest victims in the process of the dissolution of Yugoslavia, noting that Kosovo and Metohija, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia are the three most ethnically cleansed areas in Europe, from which Serbs have disappeared.

“There used to be about 600,000 Serbs in the Federation, but today there are less than 30,000, less than three percent,” Kovačević noted.
