Republika Srpska is an entity with the right to invite anyone for talks, and its people are sovereign, so no one else will dictate whom they will invite and what they will discuss, stated Nenad Stevandić, President of the National Assembly.

Commenting on the U.S. Embassy’s statement that “secession or separation of Republika Srpska does not mean its independence nor the end of BiH but the end of Srpska,” Stevandić emphasized that someone needs to seriously address their own contribution to spreading hatred, discord, incitement against Srpska and its officials, and opening private wars of ambassadors with Srpska’s officials.

“It is evident that this is a violation of the Dayton Peace Agreement and that Srpska is an entity with the right to invite for talks, and we are a sovereign people who will not have anyone else dictate whom we will invite for talks and what we will discuss. If they think they can do that to other nations, that is their issue,” Stevandić told Srna.

He added that no one will dictate the level of political independence or the mode of communication with the other entity and other peoples in Srpska, as they do not have the mandate to do so.

The Government of Republika Srpska will, within the next 30 days, create an agreement to be sent to the Federation of BiH regarding a peaceful separation in BiH, said Prime Minister Radovan Višković yesterday in Srebrenica after a government session.
