Children’s Theatre of Republika Srpska Awarded Special Plaque in Turkey

The Children’s Theatre of Republika Srpska concluded its participation in the 19th International Festival “Little Ladies and Little Gentlemen” in Ankara with the sixth performance of “Once Upon a Lion.”

Elif Seker, the Festival’s General Director, expressed profound gratitude to the artists from the national children’s theatre of Republika Srpska. She presented them with a special festival plaque, accompanied by heartfelt thanks.

The Festival’s administration praised the ensemble for their performance in Turkish.

Actors Đorđe Janković, Zorana Šuman, Svetlana Andrić, and Nikola Milaković received standing ovations show after show. Approximately 4,000 boys and girls met our Lion, understood the story, and the corridors echoed with “aslan, aslan” (lion in Turkish) after each performance.

The Banja Luka actors also met Servet Ajbhar, the founder of the festival, who confirmed that the performance brought new dimensions to Turkey’s most significant cultural event for children.

“With a host country of 85 million residents, it was an excellent host for our theatre, all of which makes us proud of our mission,” stated the Children’s Theatre of Republika Srpska.
