Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, stated that despite enormous pressure from the West, Republika Srpska cannot abandon the concept of its existence or cease to strengthen its autonomy. Dodik emphasized Republika Srpska’s commitment to the letter of the Dayton Agreement, not the spirit promoted by the West.
He pointed out that additional destabilization in Bosnia and Herzegovina arises from the involvement of foreigners, particularly the German Christian Schmidt, who falsely claims the role of High Representative and enacts laws through his decisions.
Dodik praised Russia’s approach, which advocates for the rule of law and respect for agreements between internal factors without taking sides.
“The Russian Federation is a witness and guarantor of the Dayton Peace Agreement and has contributed to its implementation, unlike others led by the USA, the United Kingdom, and EU members like France and Germany, who have shaped the agreement beyond the intended procedures,” Dodik stated in an interview with ‘Russia Today’.
He remarked that Western propaganda has falsely accused Russia of malignant influences, adding that “if there is anything malignant in the West, it originates from the USA and Britain.”
“This is a world of lies, a world of deceit that we see from the West through the disrespect of various agreements, starting from the Dayton Agreement to the Minsk Agreements and the Kumanovo Agreement,” said Dodik.
He emphasized that similarly in Republika Srpska, time has been captured by imposing topics about status and through punishing individuals and the entire people with sanctions.
“They are seizing Kosovo* from Serbia beyond all procedures, even without a majority in the UN supporting independent status, and they are taking away all our rights gained under Dayton because they are supposedly dissatisfied,” Dodik pointed out.
He highlighted two reasons for the West’s anger and fury: “First, Republika Srpska consistently rejects the possibility of joining NATO and does not consent to procedures that would lead to it, and second, since the beginning of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, Srpska has refused to agree to sanctions against Russia. Consequently, no body in Bosnia and Herzegovina has decided to impose any form of sanctions on the Russian Federation,” Dodik explained.
He mentioned that the West is conducting a hybrid war against the Serbs, Republika Srpska, and Serbia, adding that an agency sponsored by the U.S. government recently raided and blocked the information systems of the Government of Srpska and the Office of the President of the Republic.
Dodik affirmed that Srpska supports the Dayton Agreement and a constitutional Bosnia and Herzegovina, not the version others wish to impose.
“Therefore, they attack us as separatists, but we are legalists demanding respect for the Constitution,” Dodik said, adding that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a Western experiment that cannot succeed.
He concluded by stating that Bosnia and Herzegovina is protected by Western force, which favors only one side to the detriment of Croats and Serbs.
