Trebinje is expecting a significant number of tourists for the upcoming Easter and May Day holidays, particularly from Serbia and Montenegro, as well as other neighboring countries. The accommodation capacities are about 85% booked, according to Nikola Kokić, the spokesperson for the Trebinje City Tourist Organization.
“Easter and May Day holidays have become a distinctive brand for the city and a major travel motivation, especially for tourists from Serbia, Montenegro, and the region,” Kokić told Srna News Agency.
According to travel agency data, numerous tourist groups will visit Trebinje for the forthcoming holidays, Kokić noted, adding that this should serve as a good introduction to the upcoming summer tourist season.
“Given that this year the two holidays are connected, Easter and May 1st, many tourists, particularly from Serbia, will spend not just a day or two as before, but four or five days in Trebinje,” Kokić mentioned.
He added that for these holidays this year, there are indeed high expectations regarding tourism, noting that hoteliers and owners of private accommodations are extremely satisfied.
“We hope for good weather too, which will benefit everyone, hosts and guests alike, so they can enjoy beautiful moments in Trebinje,” Kokić highlighted.
According to him, Trebinje is increasingly visited by tourists throughout the year, not just during the summer.
