Staša Košarac, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, stated that the Republika Srpska is committed to uncovering the truth about all wartime events in Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1992 to 1995. In contrast, political structures from Sarajevo have remained silent on the crimes committed against Serbs in Sarajevo, Sijekovac, or Jošanica.

Discussing the anticipated adoption of the Srebrenica Resolution at the UN General Assembly, Košarac highlighted that the Republika Srpska consistently promotes messages of peace, stability, dialogue, and agreement between the two entities and three constitutive peoples.

“I am entitled to personal sentiments that the other side is engaged in fabrications. Have we ever heard from any political structures in Sarajevo about what happened to Serbs there? What about the 127 camps in Sarajevo? What occurred in Sijekovac and Jošanica? Do we even have that perception? Do we know if anyone has condemned the then political leadership of the so-called Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina?” Košarac questioned.

He emphasized that the Republika Srpska does not deal in fabrications and is ready to discuss the most challenging issues based on truth, not on manufactured information and data.

Regarding the potential admission of self-proclaimed Kosovo into the Council of Europe, Košarac believes that Western powers, including the USA and Germany, aim to extend the front of attacks against the Serb people. He added that the policies of the Presidents of Serbia and Republika Srpska, Aleksandar Vučić and Milorad Dodik, respectively, are the most appropriate response to these attacks.

Košarac asserts that the Republika Srpska will continue to pursue a responsible policy based on the Constitution and aimed at positive progress within the Dayton framework of Bosnia and Herzegovina, clearly indicating that there is no room for centralization, high representatives, OHR, foreigners in institutions, or imposed solutions.

He pointed out that the strength of the Republikaf Srpska lies in the capacity of its President, Milorad Dodik, noting that Bosniaks and part of the international community are mistaken in thinking it would be easier if Dodik were removed from the political scene.

“It will be much harder for them. There is a serious team in the Republika Srpska that will fully lean on the capacities and political coordinates of President Dodik. We will not give up nor will we allow anyone to play with the political fate of President Dodik,” Košarac emphasized.

According to him, representatives of the international community talk about a Dayton Bosnia and Herzegovina, and strengthening its Dayton capacity, but it is clear that there is significant influence from the US ambassador on the EU and on shaping a new framework in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“We are fighting against this new framework, and that is our legitimate right. Our legitimate right is the constitutional position of the Republic of Srpska,” Košarac stated in the podcast “The Boundary Exists.”

Discussing Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path, Košarac estimated that negotiations with the EU would take years, mentioning that some politicians from Sarajevo believe it can be accomplished quickly.

“We assess this based on our stance, which we have ultimately heard from European officials, that foreigners must exit the institutions. Primarily, this means closing the OHR and the Constitutional Court,” said Košarac.

He added that the political scene in Sarajevo favors the current Constitutional Court because it is a mechanism for achieving their political ambitions, describing it as the “twin brother” of the OHR.

Košarac, also the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers, expressed pride that Bosnia and Herzegovina, thanks to the Republika Srpska, did not impose sanctions on Russia, noting that Russia was the largest foreign investor in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the first nine months of 2023.

“Our significant victory is that we managed to prevent the frustrated political types from Sarajevo from imposing sanctions on the Russian Federation. This is a victory for the policy of Milorad Dodik and those of us who have followed his policy,” Košarac questioned, adding that the Republic of Srpska advocates for not limiting its foreign trade to the EU only.

He also questioned why there is a problem with the Republic of Srpska cooperating with Hungary, Serbia, and China, which donated equipment worth 2.5 million KM during the African swine fever epidemic.

The podcast “The Boundary Exists” airs every Friday at 6:00 PM and continues the activities supporting the institutions of Srpska shown through 17 public protests organized at the border between the Republika Srpska and the neighboring Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
