The Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zeljka Cvijanovic, met today in Sarajevo with the EU’s Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue and other regional issues in the Western Balkans, Miroslav Lajcak, to discuss the current political climate in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the region, with a focus on the European integration process.
During the meeting, the Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zeljka Cvijanovic, emphasized Republika Srpska’s commitment to the European path, highlighting that the positive decision to commence accession negotiations serves as a stimulus for continuing reform processes, and stated that the only credible partner for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the European integration process can be the European Union.
It was noted that local authorities need to intensify political dialogue to further Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress towards the EU.
