Dodik: Serbs Do Not Seek Conflict with Bosniaks

President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, has stated today that the Serbs do not wish for any conflicts with the Bosniaks, contrary to what is being incited by the Islamic Community. Instead, they only desire to liberate themselves from the pressures imposed in an attempt to subjugate the Serb people and to punish them by dismantling Republika Srpska.

In a phone interview with SRNA from Athens, Dodik said that through their upcoming actions, Serbs will declare that they see no way to coexist in a shared country with Bosniaks because it is clear that the other side is perpetually targeting Serbs through various abuses. Despite the widespread belief to the contrary, he affirmed that there was no genocide in Srebrenica, but this has been acknowledged to appease certain Western forces.

Dodik assessed that the push for the Srebrenica resolution at the UN clearly demonstrates the Bosniaks’ sinister intention to misuse the institutional framework of BiH. They have proceeded through their representatives at the UN to once again harshly label the Serbs collectively and to impose a historical burden of responsibility on them.

“Obviously, there was no genocide in Srebrenica; if there had been, it would not be continually emphasized by those concocting this scheme with the Bosniaks. The political involvement of the Islamic Community shows their true lack of interest in a BiH built on peace, coexistence, and reconciliation, but rather one in which they intend to settle scores,” highlighted Dodik.

He indicated that Serbs will clearly state in their activities that they cannot see a way to live with Bosniaks in a joint state because such a coexistence has no historical perspective nor can it provide any security guarantees.

“Following all these abuses, using shared institutions as their own and ignoring procedures at the Presidency of BiH and other places, it is absolutely clear that their real intent is to cause despair about the functionality of BiH and thereby blame someone else,” evaluated Dodik.

The President of Srpska noted that, therefore, Srpska will adopt all decisions related to the reports of the International Commission on Srebrenica, which has clearly stated that there was no genocide, thus mandating future actions by the republican institutions.

“In essence, all their actions are a permanent confrontation with the Serbs, and they perfectly know that there was no genocide, as defined by the intent to eliminate all members of an ethnic group. However, they have chosen to cleanse the intentions of primarily some Western powers, and they are pleased to do so,” pointed out Dodik.

Dodik reminded that everything around Srebrenica is speculative, from the actions of the then SDA president Alija Izetbegovic, his agreement with then-US President Bill Clinton, to the conduct of the military leadership of Srebrenica, who left and previously attacked to exit the zone which was to be protected.

“This was a UN protected zone, supposed to be demilitarized. Only when the 1995 events started did they call for demilitarization, which shows that international acts were not respected, and now they want to blame only the Serbs,” explained Dodik.

He emphasized that no Serb has any reason to believe in the good intentions of the Bosniak political elite, nor the Islamic Community, as they only want to deepen this divide and are succeeding in doing so.

“This divide is wide and deep and it cannot be mended. After all this, Serbs have nothing to seek, we must clearly state that we do not want to be in BiH with Bosniaks and that the best way is for us to delineate and each live in our own country,” said Dodik.

Dodik stressed that what can absolutely provide long-term stability to the entire region is to attempt to build good relations.

The President of Srpska reiterated that Serbs do not want any conflicts with Bosniaks, as invoked by the Islamic Community, and that is not true.

“We want to free ourselves from the constraints they impose in an attempt to subjugate our people and punish them by abolishing Republika Srpska and then expelling them from those territories so that they, supposedly, can rule over all of BiH,” said Dodik. He emphasized that they do not have the capacity for such actions.

“They cannot do it, they do not know how, they are not a nation-building people. If they were, they would not be governed by foreigners. They lack the character to create a state. They cannot manage even what they control by their own, let alone create something for other peoples, and this best shows their constant insistence on punishing others while glorifying themselves as benefactors, which is untrue,” said Dodik.

Dodik reminded that Bosniak representatives in the past, within the Handzar Division and as part of the Ustasha movement, which included a significant

number of Muslims from Sarajevo during the Ustasha occupation, namely when the Independent State of Croatia existed, three Muslim mayors were at the helm of Sarajevo and expelled all Serbs from the city, sending a significant convoy of over 3,000 men towards Jasenovac, who were later unaccounted for.

“These are matters that are historically established as true and cannot be twisted, except by such speculations through which they want to impose the narrative of Srebrenica as a synonym for suffering,” said Dodik.

He emphasized that, at the same time, Rwanda, which co-sponsored the act, experienced the elimination of over 950,000 members of one ethnic group by another during the civil war in BiH.

“And that is not considered a synonym—it is something entirely different, and they are now trying to cleanse their conscience, just as Germany wants to cleanse its own from World War II where it killed several tens of millions of people,” said Dodik, reminding that of this, six million were Jews, 26 million were Russians and other Soviet peoples, and over 1.5 million were Serbs and people from this region. Dodik said that all these matters are now being covered up in this manner.

“Imagine, one Srebrenica, which is not even defined and lacks consensus, they are trying to make a synonym,” noted Dodik.

He mentioned that, regardless, it will mean nothing operationally to the Serbs—they will not apply anything from all of this.

“And we will reject any imposition of any kind of solution in this regard. Srebrenica was fabricated, it was not genocide, it was a great crime. Serbs offered an opportunity for this to be clarified. Even Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić visited the area and barely escaped with his life. To this day, there has been no condemnation of those culprits who did that,” said Dodik.

Dodik pointed out that everything related to Srebrenica is speculative, and he noted that the court verdicts in The Hague, which they cite, are actually individual verdicts, not for any group.

“And they cannot, in that way, if they are individuals, an individual never commits genocide alone. Hitler, with the entire machinery of Nazi Germany, committed genocide. These are all misconceptions that are being tried to impose on us as a must for the future. Serbs must be aware,” urged Dodik.
