Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Staša Košarac, stated that Republika Srpska possesses electoral sovereignty and it is its constitutional right to elect members of the National Assembly, delegates to the Council of Peoples, the President and Vice Presidents of Republika Srpska, delegates to the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as assemblies of cities, municipal assembly councilors, mayors, and municipal chiefs.
Košarac emphasized that the expression of the electoral sovereignty of Republika Srpska includes the Government’s resolution urging all members of the electoral implementation bodies from Republika Srpska to resign.
“This is a clear and unambiguous response to the assaults and tendentious intentions of malevolent foreigners, primarily referring to the illegitimate /Christian/ Schmidt and the /US Ambassador to BiH Michael/ Murphy, as well as the Bosniak political factor,” Košarac stated on social media.
He highlighted that such a policy is anti-Serb, unconstitutional, and anti-Dayton, aimed against the electoral, constitutional, and any other capacity of Republika Srpska.
“The responsible policy of President Milorad Dodik and the institutions of Republika Srpska will never allow the electoral will of the citizens to be altered by individuals appointed by an illegitimate foreigner and structures conducting a policy against Republika Srpska,” said Košarac.
He stressed that the electoral will of the citizens of Republika Srpska will be implemented by its credible institutions and bodies.
“I expect that all members of the electoral implementation bodies from Republika Srpska will act in accordance with the Government’s resolution and submit their resignations, confirming their patriotic stance towards Republika Srpska and following the policy of its institutions,” Košarac stated.
