If they really want to sanction someone for violating the Dayton Agreement, then they should first put Christian Schmidt and several ambassadors of Western countries in Sarajevo, including their own, on the blacklist, said Željka Cvijanović, the Serb member of the Presidency, reacting to the latest American sanctions against officials of Republika Srpska.

“Neither these nor previous, nor any sanctions and blacklists, whoever’s they may be, will shake our will to persist in defending the Dayton Agreement, the constitutional position, and the competencies of Republika Srpska,” Cvijanović stated.

Reminder, the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Department of the Treasury today imposed sanctions on Branislav Okuka, Jelena Pajić Baština, and Srebrenka Golić because by organizing and celebrating the Day of Republika Srpska, January 9th this year, they “undermined peace and stability in BiH.”
