The final say in BiH belongs exclusively to democratically elected representatives of the people, and by this, we show that we can be part of the European community, as a sovereign and independent country. A stable, Dayton, constitutional, and independent BiH is necessary for the region and the EU, and together with partners from the Federation, we are eagerly awaiting a positive response, wrote the President of Srpska, Milorad Dodik, in a post on the social network X.
“The date is approaching, and it remains for Europe to show whether it is dominated by forces that advocate for the enlargement process and who will sincerely welcome everything we have done in a short period, or if the opponents of enlargement will prevail. We have made the impossible possible in BiH – we have come to joint solutions. These are not Serbian, Croatian, or Bosniak solutions, but solutions of Republika Srpska and the Federation, which are deeply embedded in BiH’s European path,” Dodik emphasized.
Talking about imposition is anti-European and undermines the stability and progress of BiH, he said, adding:
“Others have not decided about the European path, nor can they, it is the only matter on which we all agree in BiH. Republika Srpska and the Federation are ready and clearly indicate that we expect much more from the EU than just a positive report. The key word is the date. We in Srpska and the Federation have done what is up to us and continue at the same pace to finalize what remains. Now it’s all up to Europe,” the President of Srpska clarified.
