The acceleration of the process against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, signifies that the collective West is no longer pretending, stated Srdja Trifković, a professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Banja Luka, during the broadcast “Srpska on Trial.”

“In other words, they are playing with open cards,” emphasized Trifković.

He highlighted that the entire farce called Bosnia and Herzegovina has reached a point where masks are falling.

“The Western power centers are no longer pretending, while on the other hand, Russia is preoccupied with the Ukrainian conflict, which is an existential issue for it. The geopolitical reality is that we are separated from the Russian world,” says Trifković.

He pointed out a danger he has been warning about for a long time.

“Many Serbs think that due to crises in Ukraine, the Middle East, and the latent crisis with Taiwan, the pressure on Republika Srpska and Serbia regarding Kosovo and Metohija might weaken. I warn that the opposite could happen. Because things are not going well for them in Eastern Europe, the collective West might increase pressure on the Balkans to show that they are still the key factor,” stated Trifković.

He mentioned that the legal process against Dodik is a politicized process that uses a farce of a judicial apparatus for political purposes.

The aim is, after the trial, to prohibit Dodik from engaging in politics, adding that such a decision should be as binding for Republika Srpska as the prohibition of celebrating January 9th.

“This will be used as a card to try to prevent Dodik from remaining in his position or to endanger his security. But for Republika Srpska, there is no alternative but to resist firmly because they would have to use force to break the resistance and physically occupy the institutions of Republika Srpska and neutralize the security apparatus and police. At this moment, there is neither the will nor the resources for this in the Western world,” added Trifković.
