The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated that Christian Schmit, visited by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, may become a good tourist guide, but never anything more in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“What a pity it is when the Minister of Defense of Germany informs a man who falsely presents himself about the situation in BiH,” Dodik wrote on the social network X.

Dodik noted that yesterday the German Defense Minister visited a German tourist in the offices of the OHR and stated how “thanks to him, he could get to know BiH more and better.”

“Perhaps Schmit will become a good tourist guide, but never anything more in BiH. If Schmit from Bavaria is an objective tourist guide, Mr. Pistorius from Lower Saxony would have heard that politicians in the Republic of Srpska, as well as those in Germany, are demanding respect for the constitutionally prescribed competencies of BiH and Srpska,” Dodik pointed out.

Dodik also questioned how much Germany respects BiH when it trusts someone without legitimacy more than legitimate holders of power.

“Memories of the past and the German role in BiH are tragic and painful. I do not want our future to be like that,” Dodik said.
