Savo Minić, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Management of Republika Srpska, emphasized that it is unacceptable for foreigners to interfere in domestic politics and attempt to confiscate the property of Republika Srpska. He stated that the institutions of Srpska will not allow such actions.

“The ministry is responsible for forests, water, and agricultural land, and we have registered them under the ownership of Republika Srpska,” said Minić.

He stressed that it is unacceptable for an illegal high representative to issue an act that derogates the most fundamental right, which is the right to ownership.

“I don’t know why they constantly push us to that last line where we will have to react radically and enter some political processes to protect Republika Srpska,” Minić stated for ATV.

He added that without property, there is no Republika Srpska, and the institutions of the republic will not allow it.

Minić pointed out that ambassadors in a country should be helpful and beneficial, gladly welcomed, but some ambassadors in Bosnia and Herzegovina directly engage in politics, and their mandate is reduced to creating a political crisis.

He deemed it unacceptable for the British Ambassador in BiH, Julian Riley, to write to the editor of ATV and comment on trivial matters, stating that it reflects on him and his activities.

Speaking about changes in forestry enterprises, Minić mentioned that it is one of the measures for the positive business operation of the “Forests of Republika Srpska” company.

The minister highlighted the importance of the comprehensive implementation of the information system, greater control, transparency in contracts, and competitive prices for timber and forest products.

“We cannot have timber and forest products costing 120 or 130 KM per cubic meter with a public enterprise when on the free market it is 260 or 270 KM, and then someone says, due to this lowest price of labor, I will go to the Federation of BiH. Please, but here you have something twice as cheap,” said Minić.

He added that he will continue to seek accountability for any poor results.
