Goran Bubić, the defender of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated that the defense of the acting director of the Official Gazette, Miloš Lukić, has requested a postponement of today’s hearing in the Court of BiH, considering that Lukić is in the hospital.
Bubić told RTRS that there are no conditions to start the main trial today, and he sees no purpose in the hearing, but they are ready to go to court if necessary.
He emphasized that a fair trial for Dodik and Lukić cannot be expected because the defense requests have been rejected and there has been no substantive decision on them.
Bubić reminded that the defense argues that there is no criminal offense for which Dodik and Lukić are charged because Christian Schmidt is not the High Representative, as his appointment has not been confirmed by the UN Security Council.
A hearing was scheduled for today in the Court of BiH in the case against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, and the acting director of the Official Gazette, Miloš Lukić, “for disrespecting the decisions of the High Representative.”
The Chief Prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, Milanko Kajganić, dismissed the defense’s request by the President of Republika Srpska to recuse four prosecutors in the process against the president.
On December 20, Bubić requested the disqualification of prosecutors, claiming that there was no impartial approach to the case.
