President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić, emphasized today that Serbs cherish a culture of coexistence and will never allow insulting other nations and customs, as was done in Zenica, where the flag of Republika Srpska was burned on the day it marked its Republic Day.

“I urge all Serbs from Republika Srpska to never respond in kind by spitting on others’ sacred sites and burning their flags. We do not allow ourselves to do that,” stated Stevandić.

Stevandic pointed out that on March 1, celebrated in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, no one in Republika Srpska burned the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina or any canton, even though that date is not supported or observed in Srpska.

Last night in Zenica, on the day when Republika Srpska marked its holiday, Republic Day, the flag of Srpska was burned while a group of hooligans chanted “Allahu Akbar” and “Takbir.”

According to scandalous and shameful footage circulating on social media, a group of hooligans was seen carrying flags of the so-called Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
