In the eighth exhibition of the members of the Association of Fine Artists Prijedor, which opened yesterday in this city, 24 authors presented more than 40 works created in the past year.

The president of the association, Milica Tošić, told reporters that this year they implemented two very significant projects, “Prijedor, the city of murals” and “The first exhibition season of the association,” which lasted from June to the end of November.

“We had seven exhibitions, so the association was really engaged and justified everything it promised—that it would create and enrich the visual arts scene of the city,” emphasized Tošić.

The head of the city’s Department of Culture, International Cooperation, Sports, and Non-Governmental Organizations, Aleksandar Milješić, emphasized that the city of Prijedor is proud of the Association of Fine Artists, which nurtures a beautiful tradition.

“The goal of this association is to preserve a great truth: that Prijedor is a city of painters and artists. They not only nurture and preserve that tradition but also create a cultural scene in our city. It is commendable, and the city of Prijedor strives to support all such ideas, works, and events both financially and spatially, like last night’s,” said Milješić.

Citizens can view the exhibition of members of the Association of Fine Artists until January 31 in the Gallery of the Association, located in the Fire Department.
