“Republika Srpska can exist within the framework of the Dayton Agreement or independently. These are the frameworks within which the Serb people can preserve their national identity,” was the message from the International Conference “Republika Srpska: Respecting Sovereignty and the Dayton Agreement” held in Banja Luka. The discussion involved the participation of the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, members of the European and national parliaments, politicians, and diplomats from around the world. President Dodik emphasized that the independence of Republika Srpska is the only response to the unitarization and centralization of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“The Dayton Agreement is the framework within which Republika Srpska can preserve its sovereignty and Serbian national identity. President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated that the American, British, and Brussels administrations are working to undermine the international agreement. Srpska will not allow the marginalization of Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he conveyed to participants at the international conference in Banja Luka, emphasizing that in such a scenario, the response of Republika Srpska would be a decision on independence.”

This is about us not accepting a unitary and centralized Bosnia and Herzegovina. If it’s possible, return us to the letter of the Dayton Agreement; if not, we will not live in this country. We have the right to self-determination. The only way to preserve the Dayton position of Republika Srpska is an independent Republika Srpska – Dodik emphasized.

Former American diplomat James Jatras claims that the goal of the United States administration is a purely Muslim Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, he believes that Western dominance is nearing its end and urges the Serb people to maintain their national identity. He emphasizes that the strength of Srpska lies in the power of its people.

Zmago Jelinčič Plemeniti, President of the Slovenian National Party, states that an independent state maintains sovereignty.

Republika Srpska should know that independence is the only way for you. If you have an independent state, you will maintain sovereignty; otherwise, you will disappear. Many are trying to destroy you, and one of them is Schmidt – Jelinčič emphasized.

His fellow countrymen also question the legitimacy and acts of Christian Schmidt. Ulrich Singer, a parliamentarian from Bavaria, points out that Schmidt acts under Western directives with the aim of disempowering Srpska.

Schmidt’s party is the leading ruling party in Germany, but they don’t make good decisions for Bavaria. What do you think the decisions will be for your Republic? We want you to have autonomy and make your own decisions – Singer, a member of the Bavarian parliament, emphasized.

Ivan Benedeti from the French Nationalist Party says that the Dayton Agreement must be respected.

Attempts to undermine the Dayton Agreement must be condemned. The letter, not the spirit of Dayton, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of Republika Srpska must be respected – Benedeti said.

Members of EU member countries warn that the sovereignty of Republika Srpska could potentially be weakened by the European Union. They claim that the Union is a vassal of the United States whose primary target is national identity.

The European Union makes decisions in line with American and NATO policies. The Union’s members are not consulted, although decisions about us are being made. That’s why it’s important to preserve your autonomy – Stefano Valegamberi, a member of the Veneto regional parliament, emphasized.

The protection of Republika Srpska will determine the protection of family and traditional values, pointed out Minister Željko Budimir.

Republika Srpska remains the last bastion of Christian tradition in Europe. It’s not easy. Serbs have always been a spark of freedom, and that is our mission in the world – said Budimir.

Historian and publicist Srđa Trifković hopes that this meeting will help show that Republika Srpska advocates for the respect of the Dayton Agreement.

By defending Republika Srpska, we defend achievements that are not only European but universally human – Trifković emphasized.

The international conference demonstrated that globally respected politicians support Republika Srpska in preserving sovereignty and the desire to regain its lost authority. They convey that respecting the rights and autonomy of each country is the future of a multipolar world.
