“Serb Member of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, emphasized in a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to BiH, Đi Ping, the importance of maintaining peace and stability. She emphasized that to overcome political challenges in BiH, it is essential to respect the constitutional powers of all levels of government, abide by the Dayton Peace Agreement, and engage in internal dialogue among representatives of all constituent peoples.

Cvijanović expressed gratitude to China and its leadership for their principled and realistic approach to BiH, respecting international law, particularly within the UN Security Council regarding the issue of the High Representative. She also acknowledged China’s support for Republika Srpska and BiH across various domains, including economic cooperation, investments, and cultural exchange.

The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH was a guest at a working lunch hosted by Ambassador Đi at the Chinese Embassy’s residence in Sarajevo. During this meeting, Cvijanović briefed him on Republika Srpska’s stance regarding current political affairs in BiH and the region, as stated by the Presidency.

Throughout the working lunch, she had the opportunity to discuss matters significant to both countries with high-ranking embassy officials, focusing on potential avenues for further cooperation in mutually beneficial areas.

Both parties agreed that the existing collaboration has resulted in projects of importance to both nations and expressed anticipation for its continuous strengthening, to the benefit of all citizens.”
