The Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Sinisa Karan, stated today that there are no military training camps on the territory of Srpska, as claimed by the Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers, Zukan Helez.

Karan emphasized that Helez’s statements are not naive, as they contribute to unrest among the citizens of Srpska and the entire Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stated that such claims affect security, which is contrary to everything allegedly proclaimed by political Sarajevo.

It is worth noting that Helez stated that there are military training camps in the territory of Republika Srpska and that these are paramilitary formations.

“They are located, we monitor them, and we can easily eliminate them,” Helez said to N1, emphasizing that the whole process is led by “some people from Russia.”

After that, he told Radio Free Europe that there are military training camps in the Rogatica area and the Maglic mountain area, claiming to have photographs as evidence.

Due to Helez’s allegations, the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has initiated an investigation.

Commenting on the ban on gatherings in Mrkonjic Grad and Banja Luka, Karan said that the police made a correct security assessment to ban gatherings on the occasion of the “celebration” of November 25, the so-called Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that anyone violating the ban will be sanctioned.

Karan emphasized that the forceful promotion of November 25 as the state holiday in Srpska represents a violation of the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republika Srpska.

“This state is not based on the principles of AVNOJ and ZAVNOBiH because if those principles were correct, we would not have come to this tragic conflict,” Karan said.
