“Visitors to this unusual cave beauty strolled through a cavern around 150 meters long but halted upon realizing that further ahead, the riverbed or the cave lake deepens. A group of recreationists and mountaineers recently ventured into an unexplored cave at the base of the limestone cliff known as Žuljanska stijena, situated between the Sokolac villages of Bukovik and Žulj. Water springs from this cave, and after a very narrow entrance and a somewhat wider channel, the group found themselves in a cavern about 150 meters long.

Radojica Stojanović, one of the nature enthusiasts from this group, mentioned to Srna that he took this ‘uncertain step’ after a colleague from the Sokolac Forest Enterprise ‘Romanija’ told him about this peculiar cave nestled within the large rocks above Žulj, referred to as the Žulj Rocks in the area.”
