Župljanin: Greater patriotism means a safer Republika Srpska

The Association of Patriots of Republika Srpska congratulated the Serbian people, Republika Srpska and the election winners on their victory, saying the result guarantees the continued development of Republika Srpska in conditions of peace and stability, its survival, the protection of the rights and freedoms of the Serbian people and the stability of its institutions.

In a statement, the Association said that since its establishment in March 2026, it had repeatedly called on Serbian patriots to strengthen national unity and the overall patriotic potential, describing this as the only way to protect Republika Srpska and the Serbian people from hostile activities originating both within BiH and from parts of the international community.

  • The Serbian people have once again demonstrated their political maturity, a high level of democratic awareness and an exceptionally strong patriotic potential. As a result, Republika Srpska will be led over the next four years by proven patriots who have succeeded in uniting the Serbian people around key values and who have clear goals, innovative ideas and models of governance, and, above all, the necessary level of patriotism – love for their people and their Republic – said Slobodan Župljanin, president of the Association of Patriots of Republika Srpska.

According to the Association, the level of patriotism demonstrated during the election process clearly shows that Republika Srpska becomes safer and more stable as its patriotic potential grows.

  • Serbian patriots recognized all the dangers looming over Republika Srpska and therefore gave their votes to those who are not prepared to sell out, surrender or betray. For Republika Srpska to become even safer and more stable in the future, all segments of society must work even harder to develop the patriotic potential of the Serbian people and Republika Srpska – Župljanin said.

The Association said that many challenges still lie ahead and that effective responses must be found to ensure that no one again considers threatening the Serbian people or Republika Srpska, which, it said, seeks neither more nor less than what belongs to other peoples and states whose existence is based on universal democratic principles.

Župljanin said the Patriots of Republika Srpska, while expressing confidence in the elected authorities, were placing all their capacities at the disposal of efforts to achieve the common goals of the Serbian people and Republika Srpska.

  • In these challenging times and amid a complex global economic and political situation, Republika Srpska needs full unity on key issues such as economic stability, preservation of constitutional competences and the creation of better living conditions for our citizens. Unity does not mean erasing political differences or eliminating healthy and constructive criticism. We therefore call on all social and political actors to engage in dialogue in order to reach the best possible solutions and demonstrate full responsibility toward the people, who once again showed their responsibility toward themselves and Republika Srpska in this election process – Župljanin said.

The Association also stressed that the world is changing irreversibly and at unprecedented speed, warning that those who fail to recognize these changes will have little chance of succeeding.

  • The institutions of Republika Srpska have demonstrated that they understand contemporary global processes and are doing everything necessary to position Republika Srpska as effectively as possible within them. Serbian patriotic forces will provide them with unwavering support in this effort – Župljanin concluded.
