SNSD President Milorad Dodik said in Istočno Sarajevo that a political struggle lies ahead to raise the level of Republika Srpska’s autonomy and self-governance.
“I pray to God that some future generation will recognize that moment and do what must be done. There is no life for us in BiH, as you have seen. This area, which has failed to integrate, demonstrates that better than anything else,” Dodik said following a ceremony at which decorations were presented to doctors and medical technicians from the Sarajevo-Romanija region.
Referring to repeated claims by Bosniak political representatives that they support coexistence, Dodik argued that such rhetoric represents not only an ideological but also a historical deception of the Serb people.
“If the Sarajevo Serbs did not return to Sarajevo and did not fall for the story about supposed goodwill, then no one has the right to believe that BiH as such could function,” Dodik said.
He added that he could speak about the issue every day as a witness to numerous events, what he described as deceptions and political manipulation, as well as alliances that Bosniak political representatives had maintained with previous U.S. administrations, officials in Brussels and others.
