Minić: Republika Srpska is presenting the truth about the situation in BiH to the world

Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić said that the time has come for the world to hear what Republika Srpska describes as the truth about the situation in BiH.

Commenting on U.S. Congresswoman Celeste Maloy’s request that the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control examine the involvement of Christian Schmidt and the Central Election Commission of BiH in democratic processes in Republika Srpska, Minić said that everyone knows what happened and that it is positive that the issue is now being discussed.

“We are trying to bring the truth to the international stage, and the time has come to review the way Schmidt has operated, as well as the conduct of the High Representatives. However, I do not expect anything spectacular. Everyone knows what happened, and it is good that it is being discussed,” Minić told reporters in Banja Luka.

He said he did not expect anything positive from the address by BiH Ambassador to the UN Zlatko Lagumdžija at a session in New York, claiming that political Sarajevo displays what he described as undisguised hostility toward Republika Srpska.

“That is why there is an open political struggle in BiH. We can expect the same from Lagumdžija’s speech as we have seen from ministers in the Council of Ministers, Elmedin Konaković and Zukan Helez,” Minić said.

He also questioned whether it was possible for someone to publicly call for the abolition of Republika Srpska without facing any consequences.

“When we say that Republika Srpska should be preserved, we are threatened with sanctions. We are trying to ignore the hatred coming from Sarajevo as much as possible,” Minić concluded.
