President Milorad Dodik extended his greetings on the occasion of the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, to Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the State of Israel and its people.
“Our constant attention is focused on the fate and well-being of the State of Israel and Jews around the world. Our continued activities and visits to your country over the past several years have enabled us to understand not only the hostile environment facing your state and people, but also the resilience and courage of the Israeli people,” Dodik said in his message.
He noted that since October 7, 2023, the State of Israel has been going through one of the most difficult periods since its establishment in 1948.
“Republika Srpska stood firmly with Israel during those moments that changed the history of the Middle East and has since supported Israel’s right to defend itself. We hope that the coming New Years will be celebrated in an even better atmosphere of peace and prosperity for the State of Israel,” Dodik said.
He emphasized that Republika Srpska stands firmly with Israel during what he described as challenging times and a period of struggle against terrorism, adding that it supports efforts aimed at ensuring peace, stability and security for the State of Israel and its people.
“I also take this opportunity to wish all Jews and Jewish communities in Republika Srpska and BiH all the best, with the hope that they will celebrate the upcoming holidays surrounded by family and friends, in good health, happiness and prosperity,” Dodik concluded.
