Republika Srpska does not need any narrative, but rather the truth about all events that took place during the Homeland Defence War, Prime Minister Savo Minić said following a meeting with Viktor Nuždić, Acting Director of the Republika Srpska Centre for Research of War, War Crimes and the Search for Missing Persons.
Minić praised the work of the Centre, which has and will continue to have the support of the Government and all institutions of Republika Srpska.
Speaking about the possibility of returning the process of searching for missing persons to the jurisdiction of Republika Srpska, Minić said that the Government would seek a model to resolve this issue as well.
“The work we do is extremely complex, demanding and difficult. It is not a job that ends at 4 p.m.; it is something you take home with you. That is why the support of the Government of Republika Srpska is very important to us, a Government that has shown a great deal of understanding for all categories affected by the war and for research into the war,” said Viktor Nuždić, Acting Director of the Republika Srpska Centre for Research of War, War Crimes and the Search for Missing Persons.
The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska emphasized that the truth about what happened is of great importance, and that this is precisely what the Centre is working on.
“If people could only see, and we will present it, how many Serb victims there were during the war and how many legal proceedings have been conducted concerning Serb victims, they would understand the scale of the discrimination and would be able to comprehend why such a narrative existed regarding the Serb people in general,” Minić said.
