The Council of Peoples of Republika Srpska is expected to consider tomorrow the decision on the adoption of the Declaration on the closure of the Office of the High Representative (OHR) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, following the decision to initiate the protection of the vital national interest of the Bosniak people.
The session will be held at the premises of the Council of Peoples, according to an official announcement.
A statement for the media is expected following the meeting.
The National Assembly of Republika Srpska adopted the Declaration on May 26, calling for the termination of the High Representative’s mandate in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the closure of the OHR.
The adopted document states that the National Assembly, as the highest institution of Republika Srpska and a signatory party to Annex 10 of the Dayton Peace Agreement, calls on the United Nations Security Council to urgently adopt a resolution ending the mandate of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina and closing the OHR.
