Borac shines at the Jahorina Trophy: 28 medals and three individual awards for Banja Luka competitors

Competitors of the Borac Jiu-Jitsu Club achieved outstanding success at the international tournament Jahorina Trophy – Pale Open 2026, held on June 6 in Pale.

In a strong field featuring more than 500 competitors from six countries, Borac once again confirmed its regional class, returning home with an impressive total of 28 medals.

The Banja Luka athletes demonstrated exceptional form, discipline and competitive spirit, winning:

  • 14 gold medals
  • 6 silver medals
  • 8 bronze medals

Dominance in individual categories

In addition to the team success, Borac members also excelled in the individual rankings, earning prestigious awards as the tournament’s top performers:

  • Milica Panić – named the best junior female competitor of the tournament
  • Anđela Muždeka – awarded best competitor in the youth category
  • Ognjen Ritan – named the best competitor in the U21 category
  • These results are a direct confirmation of the dedicated and high-quality work of our athletes and coaching staff. We are proud of all our competitors who represented the club and their city with distinction. We congratulate all medal winners, thank the organizers for an excellent tournament, and express our gratitude to parents and supporters for their unwavering support – the Borac Jiu-Jitsu Club stated.

Following another successful weekend and a dominant display on the tatami, the Borac team now turns its focus to further training and preparations for upcoming domestic and international competitions, with a clear goal – continuing its championship-winning streak.
