Increased interest from American investors in Republika Srpska is already visible, and an even greater inflow of capital can be expected in the coming period, said Goran Račić, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska.
He emphasized that the Chamber has recently intensified contacts with business circles in the United States, with discussions covering several key sectors, including energy, infrastructure, hospitality, and real estate.
“A message has been sent to American investors, and it is certain that this will provide a new impulse, so in the coming period we can expect a significantly higher number of investors from the United States,” Račić said.
He noted that recent activities, including visits by foreign envoys and direct contacts with business representatives, have contributed to improving the image of Republika Srpska in business circles.
According to him, it is particularly important that investor interest is already reflected in concrete financial activities, such as investments in securities issued on international markets.
Račić stressed that sustainable economic growth requires long-term improvement of the business environment and its adaptation to the needs of foreign investors, in order for Republika Srpska to remain competitive and attractive for new investments.
He also met today in East Sarajevo with Mayor Ljubiša Ćosić to discuss strengthening institutional cooperation and involving business representatives in decision-making processes.
Ćosić stated that they agreed to correct previous practices in which the City Administration often communicated directly with businesses, bypassing the Regional Chamber of Commerce of East Sarajevo, and announced stronger institutional coordination.
“We agreed to correct these issues and to organize meetings with the Regional Chamber of Commerce after Easter, followed by a session with the Board. This will be an introduction to a major meeting of business representatives at the level of the entire East Sarajevo region, which is planned for the end of May,” Ćosić said after the meeting.
