Igor Dodik thanks Donald Trump Jr. for visiting Banja Luka: we must remain open to new ideas that drive progress

SNSD Organizational Secretary Igor Dodik thanked Donald Trump Jr., the son of U.S. President Donald Trump, for accepting his invitation to visit Republika Srpska, where he is set to take part in a panel discussion at the Banski Dvor in Banja Luka.

“Thank you for accepting my invitation. We have gathered here to create a new vision for the future of our citizens and our families. Everything we plan and decide must serve the greater good of our people and our nation, as well as everyone who wishes to stay in Republika Srpska and build a happier future,” Dodik said.

He emphasized that achieving this requires a clear assessment of what is best for Republika Srpska, including the political and business strategies that should be pursued.

“We must remain open to new ideas that will lead to continuous progress. The institutions of Republika Srpska and its people have shown resilience in the face of various injustices. Donald Trump’s presidential victory is significant not only for the United States, but for all societies that value freedom, uphold Christianity, and preserve family values,” Dodik stated.

Igor Dodik added that he is proud Trump Jr. values the friendship with Republika Srpska.

“We prayed for that victory and openly supported it. I am proud that Mr. Trump Jr. appreciates our friendship and accepted our invitation. Republika Srpska strives to be part of that vision. This is not only about business—it opens new paths for implementing ideas and development strategies. The outcome is not just agreements on infrastructure and energy, but peace and progress that will come from implementing these ideas,” he said.

He noted that the Serb people have defended their ideas under extremely difficult conditions, often facing opposition from dominant liberal elites.

“We belong to a generation that fought for progress. Therefore, this is not only a matter of business and diplomacy, but also of patriotism. Our patriotic duty is what we are committed to, because it creates the strongest bonds. We matter, and our geopolitical position matters. We are here to stay. With your help, your vision, and the support of the U.S. administration led by Donald Trump, we feel renewed. With your support, dear friends, and with God’s help, that vision will be realized,” Dodik said.

He concluded by expressing deep respect to Trump Jr. for his presence.

“Your presence here speaks volumes. It gives Republika Srpska hope to achieve many things through work. Small nations cannot accomplish much without the support of great nations—you are that support. In return, America and the administration led by Donald Trump will have a reliable and Christian ally in this part of the world,” Dodik said.

He ended with a quote from Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić, emphasizing the importance of building bridges between peoples and expressing a warm welcome to Trump Jr. in Republika Srpska.
