Students of the “Kornelije Stanković” Music School from Bijeljina achieved outstanding success at the 10th International Festival “Paks Accordion” in Hungary, where they won three gold medals and confirmed their quality on the international music scene, the school announced.
Miloš Cvijić won first place in the first category, while Vladimir Kurtinović from Doboj secured first place in the second “variety” category.
In the chamber music discipline, Đorđe Perić and Nemanja Kalajdžić took first place.
All students performed at the festival’s gala concert as laureates of their respective categories, showcasing their talent to a wider audience.
“It is particularly significant that Đorđe Perić, already an established name on international and global stages, as last year’s overall festival winner had the honor of performing a concert at this year’s festival, further confirming both the school’s reputation and his own exceptional musical level,” the statement said.
The students performed under the mentorship of Professor Slaviša Perić, whose dedicated work, as stated, once again confirms the high standard of education and the continuous success of his students.
The school noted that this outstanding achievement represents great pride for the “Kornelije Stanković” Music School in Bijeljina and further confirmation of the quality and talent of young musicians on the international stage.
The festival was held from March 25 to 28.
