Milorad Dodik said that the Serb people must resolve their national question and consistently defend their national interests.
“We must build our national state and restore our national pride. We can no longer fight for liberal ideologies. The only ideology we can have is a Serb national ideology,” Dodik stated after attending the Conservative Political Action Conference in Budapest.
He stressed that nothing else should take precedence.
“Any attempt to decide something in Sarajevo must first pass the test of our Serb national interests. Only then can decisions be made. Why is that so difficult?” Dodik said.
Dodik also emphasized that Europe must consolidate around Christian values.
“What we are witnessing now is a significant expansion of the Islamic factor within local, regional, and federal government structures in Western Europe. We are entering a difficult period. By then, we must resolve our national question. The Serb national question in Bosnia and Herzegovina remains unresolved—it must be revived,” he said.
He noted that Republika Srpska is becoming increasingly recognized internationally.
“I believe that both my efforts and our collective efforts, including what we heard from Viktor Orbán today at the opening, are being acknowledged in an impressive way,” Dodik added.
He also announced upcoming visits to the United States and Russia.
“At the end of April, we are going to America. In Chicago, I am expected to receive one of the prestigious awards related to support for democracy and freedom. After that, we will travel to other places across the United States. Upon returning, I will go to Russia for the Victory Day Parade,” Dodik said.
Dodik reiterated his support for Orbán and his party Fidesz.
“I hope they achieve the best possible result in the April 12 elections. We consider those elections to be important for us as well. This is about a shared system of values. Orbán is a true friend of the Serb people, and especially of Republika Srpska,” Dodik concluded.
