Head of the Representative Office of Republika Srpska in Paris Bojana Kondić Panić said that a visit to the Catholic Institute of Vendée in the French department of Vendée has opened the door for future cooperation and academic exchange with the University of Banja Luka, strengthening ties between European and Balkan higher education institutions.
“We discussed the potential for cooperation between faculties, exchanges and visits, as well as opportunities for student exchanges within various study programs,” Panić said, noting that she visited the institution accompanied by Jacques Hogard.
According to her, special attention was given to exchanging experiences in the fields of political science, law, and social sciences, as well as promoting international cooperation.
“Cordially meetings were held with Frédéric Blachon, institute director Eric Gérard, British historian and political analyst John Laughland, French geopolitics expert Pierre-Emmanuel Thomann, and French diplomat and ambassador François-Xavier Deniau,” Panić said.
She added that informal discussions with the experts also touched on the current geopolitical situation in the world, which further enriched the academic and professional dimension of the visit.
The Catholic Institute of Vendée was founded in 1990 and offers bachelor’s and master’s level studies with nationally recognized diplomas under state supervision in four main academic fields: law, economics, management and political science; history, humanities and social sciences; arts, literature and languages; as well as science, technology, and health.
