Andrija Mandić and Milan Knežević today received human, moral and political satisfaction. The decision of the Court of Appeal is not confirmation of their innocence, because that was known from the first day, but confirmation of the guilt of those who persecuted them, said Milorad Dodik, president of the SNSD.
“They tried to eliminate them politically through the courts, but the people eliminated the persecutors at the elections. I wish Mandić and Knežević family happiness and success in their political work,” Dodik wrote on X.
The Court of Appeal of Montenegro rejected the appeal of the Special State Prosecutor’s Office and upheld the verdict of the High Court in Podgorica, which acquitted Mandić, Knežević and the other defendants in the “coup d’état” case of all charges.
