The International Tourism Fair will open today in Belgrade under the slogan “One journey, a thousand stories,” in the presence of Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut. More than 350 exhibitors from 18 countries will take part.
Cyprus is the official partner country of this year’s 47th International Tourism Fair in Belgrade.
As previously announced, visitors to the fair will be offered discounts of up to 60 percent.
Discounts have been announced for family and city break trips, distant and exotic destinations, youth travel packages, mountain holidays, spa and wellness weekends in health resorts, eco and active tourism, congress events, “first minute” offers, as well as domestic and international accommodation facilities, tourist regions and attractions.
A large number of business activities will also be held.
Numerous tourism organizations from Serbia and the region, as well as travel agencies and companies, will present themselves at the fair.
Republika Srpska will present a unique offer—from adventure, mountain and spa tourism to ethno tourism, as well as its gastronomic and economic potential, said the head of the Representation of Srpska, Mladen Cicović, for Srna.
He stated that the tourism offer of Republika Srpska will be presented over the four days of the fair in Hall One of the Belgrade Fair, through a joint exhibition space of the Tourist Organization of Republika Srpska and the Representation of Srpska in Serbia, as well as through independent exhibition spaces of tourism organizations from cities and municipalities.
“Participation at the International Tourism Fair in Belgrade is extremely important for Republika Srpska, bearing in mind that the largest number of tourists come precisely from Serbia. The fair represents an opportunity for additional positioning of Srpska’s tourism offer at one of the most significant regional tourism events,” Cicović said.
The offer will be presented by numerous local tourism organizations, including those from Prijedor, Kozarska Dubica, Laktaši, Teslić, Zvornik, Gradiška, Srebrenica, Kalinovik, Nevesinje, Vlasenica, Srbac, Ugljevik, Rogatica, Bileća, Han Pijesak and Modriča, as well as other stakeholders in the tourism sector.
During the fair, thematic promotions and presentations of the tourism offer will be organized. Special presentations at the joint stand will be held by the Tourist Organization of Višegrad today, the Tourist Organization of Bijeljina on Friday, 20 February, and the Tourist Organization of Nevesinje on Saturday, 21 February.
Tourism organizations from Banja Luka, Trebinje, East Sarajevo, Bijeljina, Višegrad and Doboj will present themselves independently at their own exhibition spaces, as will the Kozara National Park, which will particularly highlight the combination of natural and cultural-historical heritage.
The Tourist Organization of Trebinje will present the city’s offer with the participation of the “Hercegovina House” and the “Sun City” complex, as well as numerous business entities from the tourism sector.
The Tourist Organization of Banja Luka will promote the city’s tourism potential, including the “Krajina House,” while East Sarajevo will present its offer through marketing innovations and multimedia materials, together with partners such as the Jahorina Olympic Center and the Ravna Planina Ski Center.
As part of the promotion by the Tourist Organization of Bijeljina, services will be presented by the Stanisići Ethno Village, the Drina Hotel, the Dvorovi Spa, the Lovac, Globus and Pet jezera restaurants, the Monaco distillery, the Pajić Winery, as well as numerous associations and local producers.
