“Serb member of the Presidency Željka Cvijanović began the third day of her visit to the United States with a meeting with Congressman Andy Ogles. At the meeting, which was also attended by Acting President of Republika Srpska Ana Trivić Babić and SNSD leader Milorad Dodik, discussions focused on the status of Srpska, the erosion of the Dayton Agreement, the abuse of the judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and attempts to seize Serb property in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The delegation of Republika Srpska will attend the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington tomorrow.”
“The stay of Serb officials at key Washington addresses is closely followed by the political and expert public.”
“Many emphasize that this is confirmation of the credibility of Republika Srpska on the international stage, while policies coming from Sarajevo, which encourage instability in the region, are losing influence.”
“Serb member of the Presidency Željka Cvijanović, Acting President of Republika Srpska Ana Trivić Babić, and SNSD leader Milorad Dodik discussed the status of Republika Srpska and attempts to undermine it through abuse of the judiciary and the electoral process with Congressman Andy Ogles in Washington. Members of the Republika Srpska delegation expressed gratitude for President Trump’s commitment that America will not create nations and states by force.”
“‘We discussed the status of Republika Srpska, which is being targeted through the abuse and derogation of the Dayton Agreement with the support of the Democratic administration and globalists. We spoke about the abuse of the judiciary aimed at the political elimination of democratically elected leaders, the compromise of the electoral process, and all other tools globalists use to destroy sovereignism,’ Dodik said.”
“At the meeting with Congressman Ogles, who is close to the MAGA movement, the endangerment of the property of the Serb Orthodox Church and the position of Christians in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina were also highlighted. Earlier in Washington, Cvijanović held talks with Senator Ron Johnson. It was agreed that economic cooperation and investments should further strengthen ties with the United States.”
“‘We agreed that economic cooperation and investments in our region should give a new dimension to relations with the United States. We also share views on the importance of strengthening institutions in order to protect borders from illegal migration. I also informed the Senator about the key political challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina,’ Cvijanović said.”
“Cvijanović also met with Congresswomen Claudia Tenney and April Delaney. These and previous diplomatic activities of Srpska officials are proof that Republika Srpska is finding partners who understand its position in a changing global order, according to political scientist Vojislav Savić.”
“‘In that sense, this diplomatic offensive is extremely important—from Israel, through Moscow, to Budapest. It is the result of extensive work at the domestic level and communication with people from the American establishment who want to understand what is happening in Bosnia and Herzegovina in order to shape an adequate strategy,’ Savić emphasized.”
“Political analyst Stevica Deđanski also believes that the international credibility of Republika Srpska is strengthening. He describes the visit to the United States as the culmination of months-long diplomatic efforts by Srpska officials.”
“‘The credibility of Republika Srpska is increasingly gaining importance. There are countries and influential politicians who understand that Republika Srpska is pursuing a policy of reconciliation in the region. Everything that has so far been said from Brussels or the Biden Democratic administration has been a fabrication aimed at dismantling Bosnia and Herzegovina itself,’ Deđanski said.”
“Policies in the region, particularly in Sarajevo, that are based on encouraging instability and demonizing the Serb people are clearly losing influence, says Vojislav Savić.”
“‘Wherever Sarajevo politicians appear, their only topic is Republika Srpska. In previous administrations they had interlocutors for such themes. Today, after everything that has happened in the world and the shift in U.S. policy, I believe that a policy of complaining and pleading has no traction and has become completely caricatured,’ Savić added.”
“Speaking about the National Prayer Breakfast, Savić notes that attempts to devalue this and earlier events, such as visits to Israel and Hungary, demonstrate the immaturity of certain politicians in both Sarajevo and Banja Luka. He says that Republika Srpska is now acting concretely—setting its own agenda and addressing issues of state property, the constitution, and the OHR, while using Sarajevo’s passivity.”
