Rod Blagojevich, one of the closest associates of U.S. President Donald Trump and a former governor, extended Christmas Eve and Christmas greetings to Orthodox believers in Serbian.
“Peace of God, Christ is born,” Blagojevich said.
He then continued his address in English, adding that it was a great pleasure for him to be in Banja Luka on Christmas Eve.
“We pray for peace, for the Serb people, and for Milorad Dodik, who has sacrificed himself for the people of Republika Srpska. But today we will not talk about politics—we will leave that for another day. Today we glorify God and should be grateful for everything we have,” Blagojevich said.
Blagojevich attended the church service and the traditional lighting of the yule log together with Joseph Schmitz, an American attorney and former Inspector General of the United States Department of Defense.
