SNSD leader Milorad Dodik said today, following the awarding of an honorary doctorate, that Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó fully deserved the recognition, describing him as a man who is not only a diplomat but someone who brings structure, knowledge, and everything necessary for sustainability.
“Yesterday Budapest, today Banja Luka — almost the same. We are writing the best chapters of cooperation ever achieved between Serbs and Hungarians, that is, between our states,” Dodik said.
He expressed gratitude to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Minister Szijjártó for recognizing Republika Srpska regardless of the narratives promoted by Western media.
Dodik thanked Orbán and Szijjártó for acknowledging that Republika Srpska pursues a balanced and acceptable political course.
He emphasized that the excellent cooperation between Republika Srpska and Hungary in all fields will continue.
“We are very proud of everything we have accomplished. Please take with you the best memories of this day. We want to remember it. Fourteen people have received this recognition from the University, which shows that such honors are not given lightly — they are awarded thoughtfully. These recognitions go to distinguished and gifted individuals, and we saw that in Szijjártó’s address,” Dodik said.
