Three individuals arrested earlier today in Bihać on suspicion of inciting national, racial, and religious hatred, discord, or intolerance have been released by order of the cantonal prosecutor, confirmed SIPA spokesperson Jelena Miovčić for SRNA.
“The three suspects were released after SIPA officers carried out all actions within their jurisdiction under the order of the acting prosecutor,” Miovčić said.
She explained that the release followed a decision by the acting prosecutor of the Una-Sana Canton Prosecutor’s Office.
Earlier in the day, agents of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), acting on a warrant issued by the Bihać Municipal Court and under the supervision of the cantonal prosecutor’s office, conducted raids at three locations in the Bihać area. During the operation, they seized evidence believed to be relevant for the ongoing investigation.
According to media reports, one of those detained was Islamist Adil Ćenanović, who in late September harassed a Serb family in Bihać after they played the song “Veseli se, srpski rode” (“Rejoice, Serb People”), shouting “Tekbir – Allahu Akbar” outside their home.
