President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović met today in Budapest with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
After the meeting, Dodik wrote on social network X that discussions in Budapest continued on cooperation in all areas – from agriculture and economy to politics.
“Together with Viktor Orban and Željka Cvijanović, we confirm that Republika Srpska has reliable friends and partners who believe in peace, stability, and the right of peoples to decide their own future,” Dodik emphasized.
He pointed out that friendship with Hungary and Viktor Orban shows that “an Europe of common sense exists and that Republika Srpska has an ally in it.”
Cvijanović also thanked Hungary on X for its support and excellent cooperation.
“Orban is our great and proven friend, and Hungary is an important and reliable partner of Republika Srpska,” she stated.
She noted that many projects have already been implemented, while many more lie ahead.
Cvijanović stressed that Republika Srpska and Hungary share many common positions, from protecting traditional values to defending their own borders from illegal migration.
“We stand on the side of sovereigntist policies and believe that unelected foreign bureaucrats cannot impose their will on sovereign countries and democratically elected representatives of the people – neither in BiH nor in the European Union,” Cvijanović underlined.
She thanked Orban for his warm hospitality, sincere friendship, and good understanding.
