Awards and recognitions presented at the Banja Luka International Book Fair

At the 30th International Book Fair “Banja Luka 2025,” awards and recognitions were presented to the best authors and publishers. The fair is being held from September 16 to 22, 2025, at the “Borik” Sports Hall.

The jury, consisting of Duško Pevulja and members Vid Vukelić and Dunja Ilić, awarded the “Moštanica” recognition for publishing venture of the year to the book Bosnia That No Longer Exists: Austro-Hungarian Postcards of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Legacy of Professor Svetozar St. Dušanić, edited by Jovan Dušanić Lipljanski.

The “Liplje” award for contemporary literature was given to Banja Luka writer Tanja Stupar Trifunović for her novel A Bird Flies Along the Sharp Edge of a Knife, published by Belgrade-based “Laguna.”

The publishing house “Pčelica Izdavaštvo” from Čačak received the “Gomionica” award for children’s literature for the book Hug Them, My Poems by Vlasta Cenić.

The “Stuplje” recognition went to the work A Stranger in the Forest by Bishop Grigorije.

The “Krupa” award for the best-organized promotion was given to the “Official Gazette of Republika Srpska — Banja Luka” for the promotion of the books A Collection of Short Stories by Young Authors of Republika Srpska and I Am Silent Because Shadows Have Eyes by Milana Majar.
