Dodik: Republika Srpska will have a status that no one will be able to dispute

The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, stated that Srpska has the right to self-determination and announced that he will secure a status for Srpska that no one will be able to dispute.

“We are going to a referendum where we will tell this occupying force that we do not recognize it,” Dodik emphasized.

He called on the citizens of Republika Srpska to turn out for the referendum on October 25 and clearly and firmly say no.

“Then we will invite relevant international actors and say – look at what they are doing to us, and what the people’s position is,” Dodik told ATV.

He noted that the National Assembly of Republika Srpska will adopt a resolution on self-determination.

Dodik stressed that he has no intention of withdrawing from politics because he wants to fight for Republika Srpska.

“We incorporated Republika Srpska based on the Geneva and New York papers. The agreement is not functioning, it has failed,” Dodik said.

He added that every day is a fight for Republika Srpska.

“No one is giving up in this struggle. The Serb member of the Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, is heading to the United States for an important meeting. I am going to Russia for important meetings. We will also have visits from important people, and we are going to a referendum to fight for this people. We do not accept Christian Schmidt,” Dodik said firmly.

Commenting on the election of the new Government of Srpska and the candidate for Prime Minister, Savo Minić, Dodik stated:

“Minić is a man of integrity and education. He is a man of the people. He has held serious positions and can, together with the leadership of Srpska, continue to strengthen the role of the Government of Srpska and everything that Srpska itself represents.”

He stressed that Srpska needs an economic leap forward.

“I believe that in the next four years we will have four billion KM in investments,” Dodik said.

He added that negotiations are underway with Russia for a gas pipeline.

“That is about two billion KM. We are also negotiating two gas-fired power plants. We will have energy independence,” Dodik stated.
