Dodik: The goal of Trump’s administration is the fight against the abuse of the judiciary

The Serb people are encouraged by the return of the politics of common sense and peace initiatives led by U.S. President Donald Trump, and especially by his administration’s dedication to combating the abuse of the judiciary, whose aim is to suppress the free expression of the democratic will of the people, stated the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

“No one understands our struggle better than President Trump, who himself said: ‘When the radical left cannot win in democratic elections, it abuses the judiciary and sends its opponents to prison. That is their standard tactic around the world.’ President Trump has won — and I will win. I will not allow threats of imprisonment to intimidate me into stepping down from office,” Dodik said in a post on the social network X.

In Schmidt’s Germany, Dodik added, words that seemed almost prophetic and directed precisely at Schmidt were clearly expressed by Vice President Pence as a moral stance: “When we see European courts overturning elections, and senior officials threatening to annul others, we must ask ourselves whether we are truly upholding sufficiently high standards.”

“We are not alone in the fight against dictators like Schmidt. I will not give in. We remain steadfast, together with our friends in the world who are fighting for democracy. Everything we are witnessing today is a continuation of the sanctions imposed by Obama, Biden, and Schmidt against Republika Srpska, because we stand with President Trump — against mass migration, against the ties between the Iranian regime and Sarajevo — and because we advocate the free and proud expression of our national identity guaranteed by the Dayton Agreement. They did not break us with sanctions — they will not break us with the abuse of the judiciary either,” Dodik emphasized.
