With the unraveling of the Sky application, organized criminal groups in BiH have surfaced. Under the leadership of Europol, the unconstitutional BiH Prosecutor’s Office has filed 10 Sky indictments over three years against 68 individuals and three legal entities involved in criminal activities. The latest indictment was filed last week against four individuals and the company “E.S. TECH” from Sarajevo. As part of the operation “Black Tie,” the Prosecutor’s Office accuses them of “washing” drug money from the international cocaine mega-cartel “Dino and Tito.”
This is the same case in which prosecutors and SIPA investigators are examining the financing of the political party “Narod i Pravda,” whose leader Elmedin Konaković is frequently mentioned in Sky communications with cartel leaders.
Who exactly is the “black tie” tightening around in BiH? For now, it is certain that the Sarajevo arms of the cocaine mega-cartel “Tito and Dino,” whose leader, Edin Gačanin “Tito,” was arrested last month in Dubai for smuggling two and a half tons of cocaine in one shipment, are the focus.
After posting a million-dollar bail, Gačanin is back on the streets of Dubai. But handcuffs are ready for his money launderers in Sarajevo. The latest indictment, issued under the watchful eye of Europol, but also the U.S. DEA and the FBI, is awaiting confirmation from the unconstitutional BiH Court.
It targets the Sarajevo legal entity “E.S. TECH” as well as lawyers Zlatko Ibrišimović, Alem Hodović, Fikret Memić, and the Bosnian-born, now Dutch citizen, Maja Papić.
They are accused of being part of an organized crime group operating in BiH, several EU countries, and the UAE, laundering money gained from the illicit trafficking of drugs by purchasing movable and immovable property, among other methods.
They were exposed by Sky encrypted phone messages. In these messages, the leader of the “Narod i Pravda” party, Elmedin Konaković, under the code name “KONA” or “president,” is frequently detected as a political sponsor, as reported even by German media.
Europol and U.S. investigators have documented this for domestic agencies by decrypting the phones. They have pointed out plans by the cocaine super-cartel to form its own political party with Konaković at the helm.
Dino Konaković previously denied being hosted by cartel leader Tito Gačanin in Dubai. However, when encrypted phones of Gačanin’s associate and another arrestee, Dženis Kadrić, were decrypted, including passport numbers for Gačanin’s entire family, Konaković was forced to admit that the party headquarters had provided data to the “group from Dubai” connected to the party.
And when, last year, Konaković’s godfather – Gordan Memija – was arrested with around 20 other individuals in Sarajevo for laundering cartel drug money from Dubai, Konaković nervously shouted – “setup” – calling it the “judicial mafia.”
“I’ve debunked the story of those liars who linked me to the cartel. I’m ready to go through every detail of my life with any agency,” Konaković declared.
Or perhaps police agencies, both domestic and foreign, are “breaking” Konaković and his party, which until recently was under the protection of the suddenly retired U.S. Ambassador Michael Murphy.
The old protector has left, and the new one is nowhere in sight! Meanwhile, his godfather Memija, under investigation for “family manufacturing,” awaits charges, while investigators probe the vast but suspicious financial flows tainted by drug money in Konaković’s “Narod i Pravda” party.
This has been directly confirmed by SIPA, and indirectly by the unconstitutional Prosecutor’s Office, all within the scope of the “Black Tie” case. That’s why the self-important Bosniak political leader and champion of demagoguery, the “honorable” minister Konaković, is getting increasingly nervous.
Because of the “dressing” of the federal police in “dirty” cocaine uniforms, last April, handcuffs were put on the Director of the Federal Police Administration, Wahidin Munjić, Special Forces Commander Mustafa Selmanović, and 21 others.
The truth is, the detention didn’t last long. The investigation by the unconstitutional Prosecutor’s Office, with its recognizable reputation for obedient followers, like in the “godfather Memija” case, is not yet concluded. But unlike domestic agencies, there is no doubt that international authorities will pursue this investigation to the end.
And the “black tie” will be tied exactly where it should be, no matter how much the Sarajevo followers of the status quo try to delay it.
