The decision made today by the Central Election Commission of BiH aims to nullify the democratic will of the people of Republika Srpska, said Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković.
“This decision continues the anti-Serb policy in BiH, launched by the illegitimate high representative through the Court of BiH, with the Central Election Commission now serving as the final executioner,” Višković stated.
He added that this is yet another confirmation that BiH is a country of absurdities, where neither law nor justice exist.
“What is clearly at play here is an attack on the constitutional order of Republika Srpska. The situation created by the illegitimate high representative, the Court of BiH—where Serbs are regularly seated in the defendant’s chair—and political Sarajevo, cleansed of Serbs, has led to a state where, according to their version of law and justice, the will of the people of Republika Srpska counts for nothing,” he emphasized.
Višković believes such actions are a blatant attempt to dismantle the institution of the presidency and impose a colonial administration.
“We are fully aware that the position of the president of the Federation of BiH has been degraded to near irrelevance, all in service of building a unitary BiH based on the principle of ‘one man, one vote.’ This shameful verdict, and the CEC’s implementation of it, threatens the equality of the Serb people throughout BiH—directly violating the fundamental principles of the Dayton Peace Agreement. Against this unprecedented assault on Republika Srpska, we must defend ourselves through institutional mechanisms that ensure respect for the constitutional principles of Republika Srpska on its territory,” the RS Prime Minister concluded.
