President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik stated that the greatest hostility toward a nation is shown when you sell a replica of its treasured heritage in order to take a stand against its state.
“By selling the Haggadah, the Bosniaks in Sarajevo are doing exactly that to the Jewish people and the State of Israel. If there were any respect for Jews in Sarajevo, they would return the Haggadah to Israel as a gesture of friendship. What the National Museum is doing is a demonstration of open hostility and contempt toward Israel. This is the so-called cultural institution whose funding was imposed by Christian Schmidt,” Dodik said on the social media platform X.
