Slobodan Župljanin, Dean of the Faculty of Security and Protection in Banja Luka, sent a message to Christian Schmidt, warning him not to embark on new adventures of imposing decisions, as such actions only undermine the already fragile stability and the agreement on possible coexistence and further development of Bosnia and Herzegovina under conditions of peace and stability.
Commenting on claims that Schmidt might impose the BiH budget next week, including funding for election-related technology, Župljanin stated that Schmidt has already engaged in numerous adventures that have brought no benefit to BiH—and that a new one would be no different.
He believes that dialogue among domestic political actors is possible in BiH, but it is important to set aside the promotion of one’s own party and political agenda.
“From Republika Srpska, there are constant messages that a BiH defined by the Dayton Peace Agreement and the Constitution is acceptable for Srpska. So, what is the issue? Everyone publicly refers to the Dayton Agreement and the Constitution, yet narrow and individual political interests prevail over the common interest of all in BiH,” Župljanin concluded.
