Conversation with Suzana Gotovac Atlagić at MSURS

Organized by the Rotary Club Banja Luka, a program titled “Conversation with Suzana Gotovac Atlagić: Nano Worlds and Cultural Horizons” will be held on July 10, 2025, starting at 8 p.m. at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska.

On that occasion, the recipient of the “Spiridon Špiro Bocarić” plaque for 2025, Prof. Dr. Suzana Gotovac Atlagić, a distinguished scientist and professor, will be presented. Her work at the intersection of nanotechnology, ecology, and social engagement makes a strong contribution to the development of science and culture in our region.

Suzana Gotovac Atlagić graduated from the Faculty of Technology at the University of Banja Luka (1999), earned her master’s degree in Human Life and Environmental Sciences at Ochanomizu University in Tokyo (2002), and obtained her PhD in Natural Sciences and Technology at Chiba University, also in Japan (2007).

She is a successful scientist, primarily in the fields of nanochemistry and nanotechnology and their industrial applications, as well as a university lecturer and mentor, a leader of major international projects, and a dedicated promoter of both Japanese and local culture.

Professor Gotovac Atlagić is highly regarded for her contributions to international projects, teamwork with renowned scientists, and her collaboration with youth, particularly through exchange programs with universities from Japan, Switzerland, and other countries.

The “Spiridon Špiro Bocarić” plaque, awarded by the Rotary Club Banja Luka, was granted to her for outstanding achievements and promotion of culture and science in Banja Luka.
