An exhibition titled “Salt of the Earth” has been opened at the Milanović House, showcasing the works of young artists Andrea Simić and Stefan Petrović.
Described as more than a traditional art exhibition, “Salt of the Earth” is a poignant reminder of the values that form the foundation of our cultural and social identity.
Inspired by the biblical phrase “You are the salt of the earth… you are the light of the world,” the exhibition brings forth a powerful visual and spiritual dialogue with Orthodox heritage. What makes this exhibition particularly striking is the fact that art is not the primary profession of either artist. This fusion of vocations lends a unique authenticity to the display.
Andrea Simić’s work is marked by deep spiritual devotion and visual subtlety—traits that never fail to earn the attention and respect of viewers.
Stefan Petrović presented a cycle of paintings titled “And There Was Hilandar.” His acrylic-on-canvas pieces depict saintly figures floating in space, executed with technical precision and a strong sense of composition.
The exhibition will remain open until July 17, offering all interested visitors a chance to experience how these two young authors interpret Orthodox heritage through a modern and sincere artistic lens.
