“We want to bring Republika Srpska closer to Blagojevich, so that he can learn everything about it and help with Srpska’s positioning,” stated Milorad Dodik, President of Republika Srpska, after meeting with Rod Blagojevich, former governor of the U.S. state of Illinois.
“The Serb people deserve to reposition their standing in America. The Serb defiance that emerges when others oppose us only makes us stronger. Blagojevich is someone who has served as both a congressman and a governor, someone passionate about politics, who doesn’t give up and cannot be broken by injustice. Republika Srpska supports U.S. President Donald Trump,” emphasized Dodik.
He added that Republika Srpska and the United States are friends, and that Srpska respects the U.S.
“Trump has, on several occasions, made it clear that America has no intention of interfering in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s internal affairs. We interpret that as a call to return to domestic agreements. No foreign intervention can bring anything good. The third important point is that Trump belongs to the traditional wing of politics,” Dodik said.
He stressed that Blagojevich is a man with a remarkable biography and roots in these lands.
“We are honored by your visit here and we will do everything to make your stay enjoyable,” Dodik told Blagojevich.
